Mission 3: Fata viam invenient

1.Lage[INDENT]a)Feind:
Während wir den Flughafen verteidigt haben, gelang es feindlichen Elite Gardeeinheiten die Stadt AIWA (19000 westlich) zu nehmen. Die Oase von AIWA besitzt eine Wasserpumpstation, welche MISURTI mit Wasser via Pipeline versorgt.
Die Wasserentsalzungsanlage von MISURTI wurde während der Kämpfe beschädigt.
MISURTI kann also im Moment nur von AIWA aus mit Wasser versorgt werden, und die lubayanischen Streitkräfte haben diese Versorgung gestoppt.
Der Feind besteht vermutlich aus 2 Kompanien einer Elite Division. Diese 2 Kompanien graben sich vermutlich gerade um AIWA ein. Loyale Milizen wurden ebenfalls in diese Streitkräfte integriert. Wir haben es also vermutlich mit Feind in Btl.-Stärke zu tun.

b)Eigene:
TF Scipio steht mit einer schweren Aufklärungskompanie sowie einer verstärkten Panzerkompanie zum Angriff auf AIWA bereit.
Die Rebellen in MISURTI wollen ebenfalls AIWA angreifen. Dieser Angriff wird aber frühestens erst in 1,5 h stattfinden. Laut S2 hat dieser Angriff aber keine Aussicht auf Erfolg.

2.Auftrag
Die TF SCIPIO hat den Auftrag:

• Finden Sie einen Weg durch die feindliche Verteidigung.
• Nehmen und sichern Sie die Pumpstation (Pioniere rein)
• Vernichten Sie die feindlichen Truppen, so dass die Rebellen AIWA nehmen können.

Absicht:[INDENT]Absicht Kdr TF Scipio ist es, zunächst auf breiter Front nördlich und südlich HIGHWAY TO HELL aufzuklären. Danach im SP rechts oder links feindliche Elitetruppen flankierend zu vernichten und Pumpstation sowie Präsidentenpalast zu nehmen.

[*]Tritt a.B. mit mind. Einem Halbzug auf Stellung LION an.

[*]Schießt Feind aus LION auf größtmögliche Kampfentfernung an und weicht a.B. CoA auf Obj C aus.
[*]Tritt a.B. mit mind. einem Halbzug auf Stellung TIGER an.
[*]Überwacht NORDRAND AIWA sowie Gelände NORD OSTWÄRTS AIWA
[*]Sollte Feinddruck zu groß sein, ausweichen Richtung OSTEN und Fühlung zum Feind halten.
[*]Tritt a.B. mit mind. einem Halbzug auf Stellung PUMA an.
[*]Überwacht OSTRAND AIWA und unterstützt Angriff der Rebellen.

[*]Anschließend Angriff LIGHTNING a.B. CoA auf Präsidentenpalast (Obj D) durchführen.

[*]Nach Abschluss aller Versorgungsmaßnahmen und a.B. CoA,
[*]Angriff südlich Obj C sowie westlich HARZ auf Präsidentenpalast.
[*]Stellt sich darauf ein ohne rechten und linken Nachbarn anzugreifen.
[*]Stellt sich darauf ein Angriff von C- Kompanie zu unterstützen.
[*]Stellt ab 1 Panzerzug als Reserve nordwestlich VVD 2.
[*]Auftrag Reserve (Unterstützung LION, TIGER, PUMA oder D- Kompanie)

Mission3: Fata viam invenien

1.situation[INDENT]a)enemy:
While we where defending against the attack on the airfield, elite guard units have bypassed us and taken the town of AIWA. The Oasis of AIWA has a water pumping station that supplies MISURTI via a water pipeline.
As MISURTI's desalination plant has been destroyed in the fighting, the pipeline is the cities only source of water, and the loyalist forces have cut this lifeline!
The enemy consists of at least 2 companies of the elite Mechnized Guard Division and are dug in around AIWA. Loyalist militias may be reinforcing the regular troops.

b)own:
The rebels in MISURTY are planning to take AIWA. Their assault will start in the next 1,5 hours (given a X-time). S2 doesn't think that they stand any chance of getting somewhere near the oasis.
We have currently 1 tank company and the mixed recon squadron ready for combat. The other units are continuing mopping up operations in MISURTY.
Rotary CAS is not available due to battle damage.

2.mission
The mission of TF Scipio is:

• find a way through the enemy defenses
• take and secure the pumping station (get the engineers there)
• destroy the enemy forces around AIWA IOT allow the rebels to take the city

commander's intent:
My intention is to reconnaise first on a wide front north and south of HIGHWAY TO HELL, and then to flank the enemy's elite forces and to take the pumping station and the presidential palace.
