Finnish summer and winter camo with markings for the BTR-80.
During the late 1980s and early 1990s the Finnish Defence Forces were testing APCs to equip more Jaeger units with. The BTR-80 too was tested, though the more expensive Finnish XA-180 won the contest, probably because Soviet Union went under... This skin is based on one of the test vehicles.
But the Finns did use another BTR variant, the BTR-60PB from 1970s onwards all the way to 2007. This skin is good for that use too, as the differences in BTRs 60PB and 80 are not that big, especially in terms of SB (same armament etc.). The BTR-60 was first used by the jaeger battalion(s) that would work with the T-54/55 tanks, and later when the tracked IFVs took over, they were handed to light infantry units, like the XA-180 Pasi. -

Summer and winter camo plus decals for da Finnish Army T-72M1. Turret top file included.
Finns bought the first T-72M1s from the Soviet Union in early 1980s. When the DDR went under, Finns bolstered the numbers to 120+, buying surplus equipment from the Germans. The T-72s made up the backbone of the two Armoured Brigades from 1990s to 2005 when the decision was made to dispand the Brigades and scrap the T-72 flotilla. The T-72s were last time seen in numbers during a refresher training in Helsinki in 2004.
The T-72 was loved and hated, and they bought a very special place in Finnish tankers' hearts. The old farts that worked with the tank propably say it was the best possible tank for Finnish terrain, where engagement ranges are short and small size could mean the difference between life and rather manly death by punching a hole in the clouds, still inside the cramped turret... Also the multifuel engine was excellent for the Finns, as during war time one may run out of petrol, but the T-72 would have no trouble as it could run on vodka, for example. And that's the last thing the Finns would run out of after copying paper.

The Finnish Army NH-90.
Finland bought 20 NH-90 TTH (Tactical Transport Helicopter) choppers for use in Utti Jaeger Regiment. They replaced the old MI-8s that served well for a long time. The NH pilots train to fly below treetop level in difficult conditions and darknes to enable the use of the choppers during war time to avoid detection and enemy AA. The choppers are mainly to be used to transport the special forces and units of the readines brigades. Other uses include search and rescue and helping out officials during peace time. The choppers are to receive Finnish made modular composite ballistic protection during 2012-2014. -

Fuchs 1A6 in Finnish summer and winter camo plus decals. A good substitute for the XA-180/185 Pasi, as both are very similar 6x6 APCs.
